Hazel Hill provides counselling in Sheffield. Her practice is based in Netheredge, South Yorkshire.
Hazel is a BACP accredited counsellor and brings over 25 years experience. Hazel was a humanitarian aid worker and this experience helped develop the important counselling skills. Working with various Non-Governement Agencies in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, she worked with traumatised communities. She found she spent many times just listening to them and found this was invaluable support to them.
Settling back in the UK, she retrained in with a Counselling Diploma over 15 years ago. She has built her own private practice has supported many clients in Sheffield and beyond.
Hazel specialises in anxiety and stress, in particular work stress. She also helps people involved in road accidents, chronic and long term illnesses.
Some of Hazel’s clients prefer to opt for the walk talk therapy. This is either carried out in the Netheredge area or on the outskirts of Sheffield near the Peak District in S17. Walk talk therapy is popular with bereaved clients and those clients experiencing trauma.
Hazel’s other focus is providing counselling support to Humanitarian Aid Workers. The majority of this work is carried out through Skype Counselling.

Hazel provides supervision for counsellors both in Sheffield and via Skype. Hazel has a Certificate in Supervision. She focuses helping her supervisees reflect and explore their own solutions to moving forward with their work.
In addition to her private practice work, Hazel works one day a week at Sheffield Refugee Council providing therapeutic support to refugees settling into Sheffield, as part of the Syrian Resettlement Programme. All this work is carried out through Arabic translation.
