Hazel Hill

Hazel Hill in Sheffield for individual and couples therapy

I’m an integrative, pluralistic counsellor based in Nether Edge, Sheffield (S7). I’ve worked in counselling since 2003, supporting people in charities, the NHS, employee assistance programmes and private practice. Before counselling, I spent over a decade in the humanitarian sector, which deepened my commitment to careful, compassionate work across cultures.

How I work

My approach is friendly, sincere and non-judgemental. We’ll agree what you want from counselling, review together, and tailor the work to your preferences (pace, structure, tools). I’m comfortable blending talking therapy with practical strategies and gentle reflection, always at your speed.

Experience & interests

I often work with anxiety and low mood, grief and bereavement, work stress/burnout, long-term health conditions, and relationship difficulties (including couples). Living with psoriasis myself helps me meet health-related concerns with empathy and realism.

Background & training

  • Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP-accredited).

  • Regular CPD and clinical supervision in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

  • Former humanitarian aid worker (Africa, East Timor, Eastern Europe).

Professional membership

I am a Senior Accredited member with NCPS and an Accredited BACP member. I work to the BACP Ethical Framework.

Practicalities

Sessions are in person in Nether Edge or online via Microsoft Teams. To see if I’m the right fit, you can read What to expect in your first session, Fees & FAQ, or just email me and I’ll offer my next available times.
